Grading in DHS Technology and Engineering

Daily effort grade: prepared for class, participating in the activities, following instructions in a cooperative manner. 0-4 scale

Project documentation: periodically, projects will be completed. The nature of the course makes it difficult to assign these dates far in advance. There will be major project due dates at least halfway through the term and at the conclusion of the term. Projects are broken down into concept sections and graded on a 0-4 scale

Homework: Assignments are done on time and according to the assignment

Weekly update: Due at the start of the last class of the week. Typewritten passage by the student explaining what was accomplished this week and what the future holds for the project. Ideally, this should be saved on a wiki or a blog for ease of access and to help facilitate documentation.

Questions for the weekly update:

Briefly describe the project:

What engineering frameworks have you worked with this week? http://dhsengineering.pbwiki.com/FrameworksStandards

What have you or your group accomplished this week?

What problems have you or your group overcome this week?

What are the most significant problems you or your group faces at this time? What will you do to meet these problems?

What materials or information do you need? How do you plan on getting these materials or information?
